When I was 14, I went into my first comic shop.This was around 87. Prices were very different back then due to no online sources & not in a good way. There on the wall, were toys that I hadn't seen since the 70's.MEGOs! I had a few MEGOs(Falcon,Hulk, Shazam,Batman,Conan) back in the 70's but they were loooong gone, by then.
Over that summer, I saved my pennies and slowly built up my money. By the end of the summer, I had managed to buy an incomplete Conan,Lizard, & Hulk. Fast forward 26 years....I was talking to a buddy yesterday that used to be my partner in crime for comics and action figure hunts. Told him I was collecting MEGOs again. He reminded me that I had sold him a mego Hulk about 20 years ago, when I was trimming down my collection. (I had forgotten) and the amazing thing? He still had it, which is very lucky, as he had stopped collecting years ago. He spent a little time going through boxes and found Hulk. I quickly offered up the $30 that he asked for ( what he had paid for it) and now I have the same Hulk back in my collection that I bought back in the 80's!
