Crom! Figures Toy dares to show factory samples of Evel Knievel and Conan packaging

Anthony Balasco of Figures Toy Co. sent along pics of factory samples for both the 8″ and 12″ Evel Knievel line, as well as the latest card art for the upcoming Robert E. Howard line of characters that include Conan, Kull, and Solomon Kane. The Evel figures evoke memories of the old bendy line from Ideal, upgraded to the classic Mego style. Both scales feature each of the iconic outfits that “America’s Daredevil” made famous.

That Conan card looks pretty cool to me. I am looking forward to seeing that figure!

The "open mouth" Evel looks kinda weird. I like the other face mold better. But he needs that Mego tan!

I like the way Evel's face looks. He looks like he is concentrating, determined and staring off to a horizon of mangled fenders.

Not digging the Evel sculpt. Proportions are off, the eyes are in the upper portion of the head which makes the forehead look too small. Outfit looks good tho...

Cool! Evel is a nice piece of work. I really like the sculpt and the outfit. Nice detail! The real Evel would've been proud had he lived to see these. I'll have to buy both versions. I really like the Conan backer card too. It looks like a take off of John Buscema's artwork. FTC is really getting it done lately. Two thumbs up on this end.

Agreed. Something doesn't seem right. Luv that outfit.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

Cool, the Evel looks like kinda of an Ideal Mego hybrid. Should appeal to both Ideal and Mego collectors.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I love them! Could have had a bit more of a puffy hairdo, but they look great to me! Love that the noggin isnt huge.

Evel looks awesome! I'd go as far as saying Evel is one of the coolest made figures I've ever seen!!

No interest in the Conan guys.

Never thought the EK line was anything impressive. Not overly impressed with the sculpt. I think the POTA astronaut head captures EK's likeness better than this one. I do like the artwork for the REH lines. I think if done correctly, they could be some really cool looking figures. Still not convinced on the overall popularity but they could be cool looking.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.
