Please go to Brazil and find me a vintage Coffin Joe figure. Or go to Argentina and find me some Tomland 8" glow monsters.

I've seen the custom one, but was there really a vintage Coffin Joe figure? That would be epic.

Mojica's son, Crounel, told me there was some kind of figure made back in the day, about 12-18 inches tall. I don't know if it was an action figure, rag doll, chalk statue, blow-mold figure, or what. I had heard a rumor that it existed, but Crounel confirmed it. So yes, there is a vintage Coffin Joe figure of some kind. This is the #1 item on my want list. If it ever pops up, everyone better get out of my way! Or they will feel my fingernails in their eyeballs.

This is the custom Coffin Joe Mego-style figure that I own. It was made by Dr. Matt Jaycox.

Coffin Joe is a Brazilian horror icon. Google Coffin Joe, Ze do Caixao and Jose Mojica Marins. You will find out all about him.

Imagine this episode: Jordan goes to Sao Paulo and meets Coffin Joe, who greets him in full costume, accompanied by sexy babes in skimpy outfits. Coffin Joe, through an interpreter, sends Jordan into the streets of Sao Paulo to find him rare horror merchandise. (Mojica is a diehard collector, especially comics and toys.) Jordan explores weird shops and meets with shady collectibles dealers in odd locations, discovering Sao Paulo's bizarre underground horror subculture. Finally, he returns to Coffin Joe's office and shows him the meager items he has found. Displeased, Coffin Joe yells at him in Portuguese and threatens to place a curse on him. Jordan narrowly escapes, vowing never to base another TV episode on something some lunatic posted on a message board.

Nice stuff, I met him at Chiller in the 90s, nice dude. I caught his movies on TV a few years later and got hooked.
