I too am sorry, I thought I showed my respect by getting these two pics and sending them to Brian so he could post them while I was on vacation with my family - I'll try harder next time.

Showing the images was fine. It about mentioning the mystery figure. There are people all over the net waiting that info. It has been the topic on several msg boards, not just here. I personally do not care because I will be buying wave three no matter what it is.

It's just great to see these "back in action".
We should all be thankful for that, something we had never thought would happen. And sure, we will all have some complaints.
Some say "oh, no, oven mitts", but I'm sure that if the gloves had been updated, others would have said "oh, no, it's no longer the original design". It's not a perfect world, but this is a pretty cool thing to happen.

I myself will go for the Batman 1966 figures, and maybe a 12" or two.
And if this affects prices of the originals, I might even (finally!) get myself a Mego Batgirl.

In case you didn't know, EMCE Hammer is a moderator here. He's one of the guys who helps to run this place. As such, he's privy to information that the general public is not. Part of his job is to bring exciting content to the site and pique the interest of people to come back for more. I think the lack of respect is on the other end.

Come on, these are just action figures, not insulin and Steve was the man who did the work and procured the photos. Don't make this miserable. He deserves a pat on the back, not castigation.

For the record, he hasn't told me either but he will when he's allowed.

Bad taste for Mego Museum member huntin' aside, I gotta give him a nod for a "nerd guilt-trip" attempt. Didn't work (and COULDN'T work here), but, hey, the guy is jonsein'.

I think the whole idea behind a teaser...is that you don't show everything all at once.

It's a bit like watching a beautiful stripper undress.
No wait, forget that last bit...

I my have stepped on some toes here. I mod other msg boards and I hate teasers. For me it is either show the item or not. I hate the blackout images on action figures when they are trying to build up business. Usually that means I get lots of pm wanting to know what it is. I refuse to post DC Direct blackout images on other toy msg boards for the same reason.

On the business end I would not place my order until I knew what the items are. I have the pleasure of both the sales and the fan reaction so if a company decides to not show the item, that usually means it will be a slow seller and we are trying to build up curiosity. Like I said this is just my pet peeve. Sorry if I offended people.

Don't worry about it - my toes are mostly numb due to poor life choices anyway. The Figures Toy guys have been pretty good about keeping us in the loop, so I am hopeful that we'll have more good news to share soon.

So what does this do to the "value" of the original Megos....I can't lie... I will get these to add to my collection as well....I am wondering if the mystery figure will be from the "Batman" comics or some other dc character....I am thinking its from the batman line....I would like to see the scarecrow.
