No need to buy the latest edition of Toy Price Guide....

    100_3591.jpg100_3593.jpg

Ok, so the LATEST & NEWEST editions of the toy and record price guides came out these last couple of months so I use my Powell's Books store credit (I'm an occassional Book Scout for them) and pick them up. I know, I know call me old fashioned but I like to hold books in my hand even clueless "guide" books but wow! They did NO edit changes about Megos from the 16th to the recent 19th edition. They still have a carded Invisible girl MIP for $60 (I'll take a dozen!) What's funny is that the editor speaks highly of megos and mentions them in depth in the introductory section on action figures. Go figure.

The record guidebook actually makes some improvements and adds more titles but a cursory glance shows no edits in their listings either. And yes I know buying guidebooks in general are a waste of money. I just love books!

I adore Powell's! I bought a copy of Cosmic Consciousness there. Great stacks on stacks there.

Price guides: they are fun. I'll agree there. Combing through the old Beckett guides, man. . . .that was awesome way back when!

I don't follow what the guides say, but I do enjoy looking at them.

I see price guides as being like computers. As soon as you buy one,it's outdated.
