My Favorite IS the WGSH line... Thats really all I knew as a Kid,.. well the 7 figures I had.
    But after Having just about all I need or wanted,.. I have jumped around here & there with some others. Some of my Fav's are }

    Bo & Luke Duke
    Ponch
    Mad Monster Dracula
    Long John Silver
    Fonz
& The Shat,.. Captain Kirk,.. but I suppose he would be more so considered Main Stream. But in my "little" world, he wasn't.

& For what it's worth,.. I thought Classic TV Toys did a Fantastic Job with thier 2nd series of Monsters,.. As well as Herman & GrandPa Munster.
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

always trading for Hot Toys Figures .

After WGSH/Trek/POTA, my favorite lines would be: Mad Monsters, American West, Wizard of Oz, and Robin Hood. The Knights are OK. I have no use for the Pirates.
The TV stuff (Happy Days/Dukes/CHiPs) doesn't excite me either, except for The Fonz.

That is pretty much how this hobby starts out for a lot of us. It all starts with just one then two and then.... the next thing you know you have a whole basement bulging full of goodies. For me I started with the POTA as I had and played with them as a kid. They were my favorites next to Star Trek. Some how I managed to hold on to some of my original kid toys. I never was the type of kid to tear toys up. I always took really good care of my stuff. Since then I have gone back in time if you will to replace the figures that did not make it over time due to age and things like broken rubber bands etc. Back then most kids just tossed them out if it became broke. Now a days throwing away is not an option for me. It either becomes custom or put back together as close to original as possible. I never was huge into the WGSH aside from the main characters Batman and Robin. Now I wish I would have been. Since then I have purchased all three of the big three lines and moved on to Carded figures of the big three lines, Chips, WOZ, LJN's SWAT, Happy Days and much much more. I am still working on finishing up my Dukes of Hazzard line. Not a big priority for me, but I will complete it whenever I feel the urge some day.
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009

Legends, but especially the Westerns. For some reason I just want to buy them every time I see them, even though I have them all.

I started with WGSH, POTA, and the Mad Monsters. I had them as a kid and didn't know about the other lines until I joined up here.

I would have to say of the secondary lines my favorites are
            AJ
            Dinah-Mite
            Western line
Super Knights (my latest kick -- anyone have spares? )

That was harder than I thought it would be.....

I was mainly interested in WGSH, Trek and Apes, but I picked up some CTVT Happy Days figures for custom parts, and had to buy doubles because once I had some I couldn't bring myself to dismantle them without getting some to keep. I think at this point, I can't really pass on any of the Mego 8" or even Mego-like figures if I have the cash.

Action Jackson was my first (and only) 8" Mego. He's the one who started it all, and to me, he'll always be the best!

My main lines were WGSH, POTA, and Star Trek. I didn't really have a secondary line of Megos. There was only one store by me that carried Robin Hood, Super Knights, Wizard of Oz, and Waltons and I never got any of them. I guess Mad Monsters was my secondary line by default.

As a kid, I only had WGSH, Spock from Trek (although I didn't know who he was when I got him), Fonzie, his Jalopy, and the 4 Dukes figures in the 8" format. I have most of those back as adult (only missing the jalopy and Daisy Duke), so I think I'd like to get into the Legends down the line. But first I have to get the other WGSH formats.

When I started collecting Megos back in the late 80's I took their slogan of "Collect Them All" to heart so I did. I think one of the first non-WGSH purchases I made was Richie, Potsie and Ralph MOC, Grandpa and Grandma Walton MIB and Dorothy, Scarecrow and the Wicked Witch MIB. I think now the only 8" figures I'm missing are Jet Jungle, Ralph, Pam and Bill. Yea, fat chance of me getting those, huh? But I love all the lines...

I only care about lines that are fantastic in nature. ST, WGSH, POTA, even the Knights and Merry Men.

I want to like the Monsters line, but they really aren't very good. For whatever reason, the ST/WGSH/POTA lines look very close to their sources. But the Monsters look too generic and hastily made.

I hope if/when EMCE remakes these that they're updated.

I doubt that EmCe will make them since CTVT already did.
