What glue do you use to adhere vintage cellophane to vintage mego boxes?

I wanna use a glue that won't bleed thru or stain over time thru the cardboard.

I was gonna put this in mego custom but I'm a customizer like _______ is a _______. (couldn't think of a funny, sorry)

P.S. Its for my permanent collection, I know how some feel restoration is blasphemy.

Aleene's Tacky Glue is nice. Doesn't yellow or stain.

Household GOOP. It globs on, and is not liquid enough to soak through cardboard. It does a good job in attaching clear plastic to just about anything. And, it's waterproof when it dries. So waterproof that I use the stuff to make aquarium decorations.
