New to any type of Forum

    Hi all,
I'm Steve, and to be honest my joining had more to do with the fact that my wife and I need to clear the house than my desire to collect.

As a kid I had a lot of the heroes. I'm 40 and I still remember being in the Toys R Us with my mom and coming across the Mego boxes. My mom very carefully opened the box so I could see what they looked like inside. No plastic windows. I got a Superman, Batman and Robin (removable mask and cowl) that day. I played with them for years until I had to tape the logos back on the costumes and the capes were frayed (who knew?).

My collection is mostly gone except for a few things that wound up with me at my house. My mom has some stuff in storage and I keep on hoping that someday I'll find the figures in a box I never noticed before. Oh well.

Anyway, Things that I have that I will always keep will be my Galactica figures from Mattel and my Evel Kenievel (sp?). I have started collecting the re-releases of the Star Trek characters for my kids. My daughter who's 5 and my son who's 2, don't know it yet, but they are going to be TOS fans. My wife is very patient with me
    It's all good!

Welcome aboard. BUT, BE CAREFUL!!! You may have come here to unload your collection, but spending time here may increase your desire for even more Megos.. even if the toys don't get you, the multitude of amazingly cool people might keep you coming back for more Museum.

Welcome aboard, Steve. It's cool that you're collecting the EMCE Star Trek figures for your kids, but I promise you it won't be long before you're hooked yourself

Welcome Steve! This was my first forum when I joined too, and I was lucky that it is one of the most friendly, supportive and helpful places on the net. I know you'll have fun here.

Thanks again to everyone for the warm welcome. I added an avatar. Yea!!!

I'll take pictures of the few things I have someday. The hard thing is bringing out toys and trying to explain to my kids that they are not really to play with anymore.
