    Conan vs Tarzan

I've always wondered why Tarzan had a flesh suit and Conan did not?
Not sure if I've ever asked before but now I'm asking...LOL
Yes I already know Conan doesn't need one...LOL
But it has always struck me as odd that tarzan was clothed and conan was not.
Especially since Tarzans outfit covers more of him than Conans does.
    Speculations,thoughts,insight or facts?
Heck feel free to throw in your two cents.

Well, the Tarzan I have is on a type 1 (or type 0) body, (the kind w/ metal rivets), and I think Mego designed it that way orignally to hide the rivets. Just a thought. But I don't have a flesh suit for mine anyway. I mean, how heroic can you look in pajamas?

It was because Tarzan was released in the metal rivets days - and without the flesh suit, the knife would not
stay in the lioncloth. When we did the prototype for Martian Manhunter for Mattel, we showed him both with
the green bodysuit and without. The response was that the figure looks too cheap without a bodysuit - and
this from the company that makes He-Man!

When Conan came out, the type 2 was in full production and Conan came with a lot of accessories to make
up for his lack of a costume.

What I always found odd is you have Robin, a character who wears tights on the tv show, yet is bare legged as a Mego.

Yes this is another one that baffles as well.Especially since alot of the teen titans have full suits with flesh tone legs like aqua lad?
And robin did have tights on the 66 show.

With Robin, you'd have to sew the shorts to the tunic and then the legging to the shorts.

Or even easier, screen print the suit as a onesie like spiderman.

                  Tarzan, over Conan.

I love Frost Giant's Daughter, but I really love Burroughs' shared worlds.

I always thought it was a nod to Jack Benny's Tarzan...

Luv the green body suit on Martian Manhunter. Great choice. Cheap or not it harkens back to the days of old...the seventies.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

Okay, I love both Tarzan and Conan as characters, but I love Tarzan more.

As MEGOs though, even though I love my Tarzan, Conan is a better figure by far.

Conan and Thor were always more ripped than Tarzan

Actually, I always thought both Conan and Thor were on roids - just look at there faces
