What's a painful mego regret you gave up in a lot purchase...

One way I collect megos is to buy lots and sell off what I must to recoup my investment or at least take the sting out.

Have you ever bought a big mego lot , online or garage sailing, and regretted (i.e. kicked yourself) for selling an item off and what was it?

I've sold parts from a lot thinking I can replace it easily down the road, but not realizing at the time that parts come in floods and droughts.

Case in point, Batman capes. Over a year ago solid blue Batman capes were in abundance when I was looking for older T1 off-grey ones. I had a finished Batman to sell that was only missing a cape, so I put the blue one from my collection on it, thinking I'll get one whenever. I didn't replace it until last week, because either the price was too high, it was shot, or the wrong color.

I generally don't regret selling stuff, but every once in a while I definitely do... I have to keep telling myself that with perseverance and patience I'll find another one for as much or less as I sold mine for... I'm just lacking in the patience category most times =)
      Looking for:
      • Lincoln Monsters (Any condition)
      • Boxed Mego Monsters
      • AHI Jigglers / Bendy Monsters (Carded and Loose)
      • ANYTHING Monster related

        Not Megos, but comics yes.

I sold off most of my comic collection, some were big ones like Detective Comics 38, Superman 2, Giant Size X-Men 1, Fantastic Four 1 and 2, Spider-Man 1 and 2, Hulk 181, and so on, wish I had them back.

Just before i really got involved with collecting Megos and restoring them etc. I had a canvas bag from when I was a kid filled with Mego parts, Planet of the Apes, Big Jim and other odds and end. Nothing super good but overall not really bad stuff either. I gave away the bag to another person who collected Megos and have regreted it ever since. I am not even sure if I could have used any of the stuff but I am sure at the very least I could have spread the stuff around to other members in here. Its was mostly outifts and weapons in the bag.

Once. After my father died, going through my parents' attic, I found a carded Acroyear II Micronauts figure that Dad must've picked up on clearance when I was younger, and then put away and never got around to giving to me or any of my younger brothers. I swapped it to a guy from the Micropolis Embassy for a some loose micros I wanted (I never buy carded/boxed -- handliing the figures is part of the nostalgia for me). I was actually happy with the deal, but then, a couple years later, my mother took ill and didn't make it. And it was right near Christmas, and it seemed then that it would have been nice to have that last "Christmas gift" from them. I reached out to the guy again, but he had swapped it away himself by then.

On the other hand, that's the only swap/sale I've regretted.
