12 inch Batman questions

Though I got a magnetic batman for Christmas, I got a normal 12 inch Batman today for a really good price. He is in amazing shape but he is missing his left hand. Does anyone make replacement hands/arms in that scale?

Aside from the hand thing, I have a question about the cape. Its made from a material I haven't seen before. It is like a thicker material that is shiny on the outside. Would that be a vinyl cape? Is that rare or normal? I have a second bat suit that scale I bought a few years ago that has what I consider a normal cape.

The cape is pretty common. Many years ago, someone came across a warehouse full of these 12 inch scale Batman figures that never sold and they flooded the marketplace (non-magnetic ones). It's hard to believe a Mego Batman MIB wouldn't be anything but rare. But you can get many of these same figures often for under $100.00. I did a quick search under the sold selection on Ebay and the first one I saw sold for $84.00.

I've seen first release 12" Batmans with both types of capes, not sure if the vinyl one is rarer with these guys, it could be less common but doesn't seem to affect the value too much. I also used to own a vinyl caped "comic head" 12" Superman, which was released at the same time as this version Batman.

I don't think anyone makes replacement hands, but CTVT makes entire repro bodies for 25 bucks a pop. You could probably find an original body for cheap though, although it's hard to find one with intact knee pins.
