Garage Sale Season is Nearly Upon Us! A Mego Related Survey...

Ok, so I'm a notorious garage sale picker. And nobody throws things out around here in the pacific northwest. In the last three summers at sales I've found a carded shazam, carded hulk, two carded batgirls, carded robin and a beat up maskless robin along with a bunch of other mego stuff. A lot of it is tenacity and mostly luck.

My luck is bound to run out so I need to look to trades.

Ok mego fans, what is an obscure item that you desperately want that is not mego and not vintage toy related?
    Be specific!
I will try to find it!
I do this all the time for friends and associates. Everything comes up at least once in a garage sale season, IMO.
Be specific with pictures if you wish. If I find your dream item, we;ll trade for mego (cash if we must)
    Chartreuse Fiesta ware?
    First edition Charles Dickens?
Unpublished B Page camera club photos?
    mid nineteenth century quilts?

What is one thing you wish I would find for you at a garage sale? Share your answer!

I'd like to find anything worthy buying. Our yard/garage sales are pathetic in this area. Mostly just crappy Happy Meal toys and clothes.

Yeah same here so far at garage sales. Lots of clothes, I did manage to 'pick' this insane estate sale that was literally a house full of dolls. One of the creepiest things I've ever seen, I thought for sure at any moment I'd be attacked and brutally murdered by porcelain fiends. My find? Two measly carded Carebear figures that still haven't sold... boo.

I have had some pretty great thrift store finds though, and one very lucky craigslist pick. Picked up an adventure team helicopter, 6 wheel vehicle, 2 figures complete in good shape, and 3 playsets for $40. Picked up a lot of Japanese tin friction toys and an absolutely mint Marx Spiderman trike wind up for another $20 from the same guy. Not a bad find, but haven't had anything great since!

Ready for garage sale season to start again and hopefully add to the list
            Looking for:
            • Lincoln Monsters (Any condition)
            • Boxed Mego Monsters
            • AHI Jigglers / Bendy Monsters (Carded and Loose)
            • ANYTHING Monster related

Any weird MOTU spin offs or bootlegs. If you see one with a clear body full of sparkle liquid jump on it before anyone else does!

The one thing that sucks about living in the northeast is winter. No yard sales. I was so desperate I went to FL last month to find some. Fortunately the in laws are down there so it was worthwhile to make the trip. It was well worth it and I'll go back in November. Hit about 6-7 good flea mkts. Yard sales were OK but nothing great. There were quite a few but no real quality finds.

I'd recommend live coverage when you're at the garage sales and posting pictures while there. Then we can decide what we want you to buy for us
