Mego King Kong Komparo

Not too long ago there was a thread under Auction Watch dealing with an original Mego King Kong game. The game was 13 inch Kong on top of a cardboard building and you shot him down with foam missiles fired from your jet.

Part of the discussion was how big Kong was. Someone posted that he was roughly the size as a regular Mego. I posted a pic of the game Kong next to a Mego Captain America for size comparison.

About a week ago while avoiding responsibilities around the house and office, I searched Mego Kong and found the Japanese Mego Kong release. I won the auction and here are some more comparison pictures with Japa-Kong and Mego-GameKong- he's actually really small! (The little silver race car also came with him- I guess he could use it like a skate board!)

Thank you for posting these pix--I was the one who had enquired about scale. I love the design of the game Kong--I assume the torso panels accommodate the sound feature?

I was enamored of the idea of using this Kong as a Mego Grodd, but he's huge! Big Jim's gorilla will have to suffice for now.
