    Mego TT Article

...even though it's waaay far away, i thought i'd mention i'm writing a piece on the Teen Titans line for an upcoming issue of TwoMorrows' Back Issue! magazine, when the theme is "Teen Heroes."

i am certainly not the most qualified to do so(i'm behind...50% of the people on this board!) but i pitched an idea for article to BI editor Michael Eury about the 70s TT comic, with a sidebar on the Mego line.

since the comic idea was spoken for, he asked just to write up a small piece(250-500 words) about the Mego line. Michael tells me he has some original packaging art by Dick Giordano which will accompany the piece.

i am of course enlisting Ben to help me get my facts straight, and i'm looking forward to doing the piece! after years of being a professional artist, this is my first paying writing gig--and i hope it won't be the last.

Awesome Rob! Be sure to mention how Speedy's costume is wrong. As much as I love the TT figures, Speedy's bare legs and covered arms disturbs me to no end.

Back Issue is one of my must-haves. Although, I got the latest issue and haven't even cracked it open yet...

I'll be looking forward to reading your piece.
