Intro and Question (Original Shazam Value)

Hey all,

Stumbled on these forums a few weeks ago and have been lurking since, I had the pleasure a meeting a long time member of the forums here in real life while working a deal, and couldn't help but desire to have my own Mego collection. That being said, I've done quite a bit of research on the repro items, how to spot originals, and spent a lot of time on the scarcity page. Still a bit confused on some of the values, as some of the figures seem all over the map. One in particular that I was looking at as an early addition to the collection was a Shazam figure that I believe is all original, boots, cape, and sticker. Tried to do a bit of research on eBay to get a feel for value so I knew if I was getting a deal or not, but it seems they vary significantly from $30 on up. Any better input on an approximate value for what I should pay?

As for Shazam value with original sticker super nice? Depends on so many variables. I've seen between $50 and $100. Not helpful, I know...

Glad to have you aboard... As far as value try to keep track of current and past sales, types and conditions and go from there... ultimately in the end the figure will be worth how much you will be willing to shell out for it and how badly you want it not necessarily in that order.
as far as the shazam very good condition type 1 loose $75 to $125, type 2 loose $55 to $100

and you can always ask advice in here of the members, a knowledgeable bunch they are!

P.S. if you can try to get hold of the Ben Holcomb book huge help when it comes to identifying boxes and types an almost must have.
