AFA Grading Question

For those of you that deal with graded figures, I'm curious about something.

If a figure is MOC, with the bubble 100% sealed, shouldn't that earn the mint figure inside the bubble a score of 100?

I would think so unless there was some discoloration with the plastic or a break down of the plastic or fading with the cloth or something like that

That's why AFA grading is stupid, IMO. There is no standard except what they say, and it varies from figure to figure. How do subgrades of 80-85-85 average out to 80 anyway? They obviously can't even do math.
They've long since been exposed for assigning different grades to the same figure submitted multiple times. If they truly had exacting standards the figure would grade the same each time.
AFA is just an excuse for sellers to get more than something is actually worth.

I hate hate hate AFA grading... I mistakenly bought an AFA boxed Falcon... I don't even look at AFA graded stuff if I cant pull it out to display it whats the sense.

They have criteria for the figures, things like how perfect the paint job is, how the figure is positioned in the bubble, whether or not the weapon or accessory is still in its original position or if it is floating around, etc

Yeah, AFA is a flippen joke. It cost a fortune just for some *** monkey to grade it however they want. It had it's boom period, but now most people are wise to them.

Weird how a factory flaw would lower a grade, but thinking about it that's almost like how centered baseball cards are worth more than offcentered ones.

its simple really an idea for someone to charge money to grade something.... and put it in a case .... a collector knows what hes looking for in his figures and what hes willing to pay all the grade system does is put some over the top price on figures.
there may be people who like the grade system but a ...BIG NO NO FOR ME...

not in a million years.... its crazy those carded examples were say mint and not worth that much carded .... in the case and graded.... it goes crazy... some people really have got their heads buried in the sand
