It's been kind of an insane year for me spending-wise, so my resolution for 2012 is to thin out my extraneous stuff so my house looks a little less like a Hoarders/Toy Hunter crossover episode.

    Best Mego purchase
Completely serious here: Brick Mantooth/Supercollector. Thanks to Purple Heyyys, I had a spare Brick to customize into a Jackson Bostwick Captain Marvel, making it all the sweeter.

    Best Non-Mego purchase
    Syroco Superman.

I made some nice pickups this year but no doubt the highlight was adding a deal to bring these two guys into my collection. Even sweeter because when I inquired I really didn't think I'd be able to afford the cap. Carded Batman also made his way into my collection this year. Most due to members here. Cap & Robin came from Dumbldor.

Picked up a boxed Green Goblin from Megospidey and upgraded my exisiting Supergirl purchased from Toyman Chris. Late in the year, after a five year wait I finally acquired a second original Supergirl shoe to complete the pair on this beauty.

Always hard to say the coming year will bring as availability and price play a role. Topping want "want list" though are carded Superman, carded Hulk, boxed Batgirl, boxed Lizard and original belt for Supergirl.

Best scores for me was my brown top and lizard top Apes. Wasn't planning on buying either one at the time, just went and bought them. Close second was my Batmobile. Been after one since I was 5. I never set any goals because I always buy stuff I didn't think about at the start of the year.

I bought my first Major Matt Mason piece since I was about 8 years old. I really loved playing with them as a kid (flea market purchases) and it's a line I've wanted to start collecting for a while.

You and me both! 2012 was really slow for me, in comparison to 2011; still, I got some decent stuff for good prices. I picked up vintage MotU Man-At-Arms and Battle Cat for a great price, and I nabbed WGSH Robin and Batman for what I was willing to pay for the Robin alone. The two items I was happiest to get were the Hot Toys '89 Keaton Batman (which was a bit pricier than I'm used to) and an awesome Kenner large-size Darth Vader I picked up from a member here.

in 2012 I finally landed a Silver Soldier Ape . . . . very happy with that! . . . . I also completed my Colorforms Aliens with the acquisition of Astronautilus . . . . still need to do the restorations on a couple of these figures.

. . . . for 2013 I'd like to complete my Mystery Astronaut (need an original Helmet) and buy repro boxes for my entire wgsh collection . . . .

I surprised myself thinking about this. Despite the fact that my Nerd Cave looks like Doctor Who's toy room, I've only bought three things this year.

                          A 1974 Corgi Panzer Tank.
A Mego Kirk and Spock combo from a friend.
An antique magnifying glass with stand.

All adds up to <$90, so bargain!

I bought a new chair yesterday but that's 2013, so it doesn't count.
