Excellent story Greg. Thanks for sharing. THAT is what Megos are all about. They were magical back then. And it's always wonderful to hear how that magic can reconnect 40 years later. But now you can have that moment anytime you want. Never lose it.

It's great you got a new Cap. It's even greater that you still have and always will have the gift your Grandmom gave you so many years ago.

Captain America has always been my favorite superhero hands down. When I was in grade school, my Grandmother would pick me up from school and we'd visit the local 5 and 10 store. One day I saw a Mego Captain America on the shelf and I really, really, really, really, really wanted him. My grandmother said she wasn't going to buy him cause she couldn't afford it. I was heartbroken. The next day when she picked me up from school, she had parked so that I had to get in the drivers side of the car. Once I got in, she told me to look between the seat and the passenger side door. There was Captain America and I was so excited! I couldn't believe that she had gone back and bought him for me. That Cap is long gone but the memory remains and is one of the fondest memories I have of my long passed grandmother.
The reason I'm sharing this is because I purchased a Captain America from Max Delgadillo (mvp24max) and he arrived in the mail yesterday. Just in time for Christmas. When I opened him and held him in my hands for the first time in almost 40 years, the memories came flooding back and for a moment, I was that 7 year old kid.

Thank you Max and Merry Christmas to everyone!

He is a complete T2 Cap. The sheild has just a little wear around the edges of the sticker, the cloth star is a little yellow and there's the slightest pair rub on the A. I looked a long time for one in this condition at the right price.
