Ok, so I order a complete all original no breaks Green arrow mego figure from a relatively well known purveyor of vintage toys including many mego. I've dealt with them previous times with no problems. I get the figure and on the bow is not a complete break but where the "string" and bow meets its together by a mere thread of plastic. I would say its at least 90% not connected. Argh. So now I'm gonna email them and hope we can fix this problem. I don't necessarily want to return it because i wanted one for a while and i dont think they do returns so I'm not sure how its gonna go. I hope they don't get technical and point out since its 10% connected its not broken. ha! I hate having an unpleasant conversation with sellers I otherwise think are nice people.

If they tell me to take a hike, is there anyone on mego museum who can sell me an original green arrow bow (not the quiver backpack)?

Here's what I would do.

Get a repro for display and keep the original nearby

best of both worlds - and a cheaper solution

Thanks Mikey, do all green arrow bows have cracks at one end or the other? Is this true upon original manufacture? This is the only original I've seen in person. This was my xmas present to myself and I did want a perfect specimen. Looking at the quiver backpack, I'm amazed any of THOSE survived the last 35 years.

Green Arrow has the same bow as Speedy, Will Scarlett and Robin Hood. You could always get one from one of those figures for yours if you wanted all original. Not an impossible task.

Thats the route that I would go. I have a MIB Green Arrow, but sadly his quiver pack has a broken strap. Good luck.

They are letting me mail back bow and implied they will replace it from their vintage mego inventory. Yay!
Now my upcoming Toy Room Central spread will have to wait a little longer...
