A little story about Diamonds and Broken Circles!!! :)

Wayyyy back on August 18 of this summer, after work, I had stopped in on my Mom and Dad to shoot the breeze and make sure everything was going well with them before heading up for some well deserved unwinding with the Significant other and little girl. As I usually do I was perusing the Museum and E bay to see if there was anything out there that I could add to the ever expanding collection. As I was scrolling thru the marketplace and auction watch I came across the post for the listing of the Holy Grails of Spidermen... I had to look twice, I couldn't believe it, not 1 but both right there to be had... Was I too late??? Were there other offers??? My mind raced... What to do??? Can I afford one of these??? Can I afford both of these??? Can I afford any of these??? I start my hectic search for the owner... Before you know it I had found my man... Derek A.K.A Megospidy... Let the negotiations begin!!! It seemed everything was all going on at 1 time I was doing everything... Penning the offer to message...texting my Brother to keep him in the loop... in the background my Mother and girl conversing and all I could hear was the Charlie Brown teacher voice coming from them waaa waaa waaa waaa. The first e mail was away " VERY INTERESTED, HOPE WE CAN WORK SOMETHING OUT FOR 1 OR BOTH, MY LITTLE GIRL WAS ENAMORED WITH THESE AT THE MEET"... How long would I have to wait for a response? Would there be a response? Were they sold? Almost immediately there was a response... Opening the message felt like the opening of presents on Christmas morning... The anxiety, the anticipation to see what was inside...Response from Derek "I know I said I would never sell them because my boys loved them, BUT..." AND THERE IT WAS!!! The opening to the reality that if we could come to an agreement they would be mine , 3 more messages each, a few texts from my brother for moral support and validity of what I was doing was the right thing, the continued WAAA WAAA WAA WAA from the little lady and mother and they were both mine!!! First contact was 8:48 P.M. and by 9:13 P.M. the deal was done... The Diamond Suit Spidy arrived not long after September 28 and The Broken Circle arrived Yesterday. In 3 more weeks the Peter Parker should be in the Bronx as well. THAT'S A STORY FOR ANOTHER TIME LOL

Once again thank you to Derek!!!

Your a boob... Maybe i'll put you in the will, and you can always come over for playtime to visit them from time to time. ... but you will be frisked before you leave the premises.

Terrific story and congratulations on getting those grails!
"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

              Clemso...

Your memory is not foggy, you are correct, Derek had them listed with a $2500 buy it now for each. After we agreed to a price and we had a deal he removed them from E BAY.

Hey! Nice to see them together again. The brothers are reunited, and it feels so good.

So glad they are staying in the museum family.

I didn't want to sell these, but when a bigger grail item became available to me (Amazing Fantasy #15), I made the decision to find a new home for them. Glad you and your brother and family (well most of them at least) can now enjoy them!
