    I need advice

I just found out this morning that my 10 year old son traded my loose 1975 Mego Joker for some Pokemon cards. Should I just get the Joker back or should I get my son to call off the trade. I have a very nice carded Joker but feel my son got taken advantage of in the trade. The Joker was not his to trade in the first place. Any parents out there with some advice.

Just explain to him that it wasn't a fair trade, and the Joker was not his to use in a trade, and he should call it off. Then go buy him some Pokemon cards so he doesn't feel bad.

Thanks, I would gladly buy him all the cards he wants. Maybe I could trade his cards for a Mego in here. Just kidding. I am still looking for Iron Man gloves and belt or complete figure.

what you need to really do is to get him collecting mego museum cards instead

If it was not his to trade then you need to get it back. That's a valuable lesson your son needs to learn. Another person's collectibles is not something to give away for your own benefit. My kids would seek refuge in Afghanistan before they would consider taking anything from my collection for personal gain. That is a class A felony in my house.

I'm curious as to if it was a friend or a shop. If it was a shop or something like that you have the law on your side as the item was not his to trade or sell and the jerk shouldn't be taking advantage of a 10 yr old kid. If it was a friend I would contact the parents and just lay it out for them.

                    OK.
I think you need to give more details, how did the trade come about and who is it with? Did your son think the joker was his? What was the value of the cards...they may be worth more that the mego...no really. If your son set up the trade and knew it was your toy,he does not need to be bought cards...that is a reward for doing wrong.
My sons would get their cards taken as punishment,at 10 he knows better.

We are all curious as to the details of this trade, Relic. With that said, my kids have a ton of pokemon cards including rarer ones i can stuff in that reed richards box coming your way. The lack of details in your story has intrigued us all...
