Seeing the Strange Change Toy was an awesome blast from the past!
Occasionally I think of it, and I have been trying to remember the name of it for years.
When I saw it on Toy Hunter, I practically jumped out of my seat, and said "I had that!!! I loved that toy!!!" to my wife and my son.

The Christmas Special was my first opportunity to watch this show. I enjoyed the variety of vintage items he showcased. I liked the Duke Dog appearance. I have two of the first edition doggies boxed (Not the rescue unit version he showcased). One thing that definitely surprised me was what he DIDN'T look at. Namely the MIB Playing Mantis Santa Castle stacked in Jeff's garage. Oddly it was part of Rudolph's Misfit toy series. A theme he was pushing in this show. These are routinely sold between $200.00 to 275.00 under the 'Buy it Now' option on Ebay. Rankin/Bass items from this initial release some twelve years ago have been hugely popular and collectable. And the market is absolutely there. Playing Mantis still produces new product from this license, but nothing like this initial scale, so people want them. And the Santa Castle is one of the more sought after items. Jordan if I were you, I would go back and snag that item. An easy money maker.Comment

Oh man, I think I deleted the Christmas Special! My DVR recorded Toy Hunter last week, but since it was an hour I assumed it goofed up and recorded the pilot again. Dagnabbit!

I know the first guy Jordan visits in Maryland, but not real well. I worked with him about 20 years ago. I had no idea he collected toys like that.It's all good!Comment
