Hi again all. Last night I came across something Mego, That I've never seen before. Now I admit, My Mego experiences of my youth & recently has always been a little Miopic (8" and few other Action Figures). Even though Its common sence to think that Mego would produce other toys, I'm still awestruck when I find these different venues produced by Mego Corp.

To bad its only an empty box. I saw the Mego Logo and I knew I had to get it. Reading the details of the toy from the box, it looks like Mego had taken a Shrewd turn on the Hotwheels Sizzler idea. Mego's car was powered by the "Pull back" spring load method. As opposed to Mattels Plug it in and wait electric charge method. I cannot say for certain. For 1978, I dont think I had ever seen a track layout like this in any Hotwheels set. Though the basic connection idea is simular to Hot wheels (Track grooves with connecter tongues). The track layout possibilitys seem more intense then what Mattel was putting out at the time. If anyone has more input on this subject. I'd be very interest to learn more!!!
