Need help from fellow megoheads with knowledge of Japan. I'm heading there on a business trip at the end of this month. This is my third time over, but I've never really had time for toy shopping until now. I know there are some famous shops in Tokyo, but that doesn't appear to be in the cards. I will be in the Nagoya area. Any good toy shops in that area ? Any help wiil be appreciated.

Hmmm, I've never been to Nagoya, but the popular (if not cheap) used toy store chain Mandarake has locations all over Japan, and sure enough, they have one in Nagoya. These stores are a bit pricey, but every Mandarake that I've been to so far has had some serious eye candy, so you should have a good time at least window shopping and sometimes you can snag a decent deal.Maybe from there you can manage to find other toy stores in the area too.
Click on the Nagoya store pic in this link and you'll get a map. Looks to be only four or five blocks away from the nearest train station, so it shouldn't be too hard to find. Good luck and have fun!

Thanks. I'll look into the Mandarake. I believe that is within walking distance from my motel. I'll keep you posted on what I find. As far as cost goes, I'll be getting a pretty good per diem from the company. I can see a lot of that going towards toysNothin' like getting goodies on the company dime!
