Star Trek collectibles book-need some help

Awhile back I was on here as startrekfiero if i remember correctly, but at some point it looks like some changes were made here and I couldn't log in anymore, so I rejoined under this id. I have been pretty busy for the last few months finishing up the book and I am almost done.

OK, now a couple questions for you Mego experts.
Was the first Star Trek Mego's released in 1974 or 1975?
Second, there were apparently three waves right? If the first wave was five face cards until Uhura was released which was then six face cards, how is that still considered first wave?

Capt. Kirk: "Is there anyone on this ship, who even remotely, looks like Satan?"
Mr. Spock: "I am not aware of anyone who fits that description, Captain"
Capt. Kirk: "No, Mr. Spock, I didn't think you would be"

        Thanks guys

Also, in part of my write up in the Mego section of the book I have the Mego museum website address listed. If this is not something that is ok just let me know and I can take it out.

        Thanks again

Pointing people to MegoMuseum.com sounds like a very good idea.

^^^ That's true. Better than pointing them elsewhere.

Maybe, but now I am starting to think otherwise

Was the first Star Trek Mego's released in 1974 or 1975?
The first official appearance in a Mego catalog was 1975, they may bear a copyright date of 1974 but that's common with the toy industry.

Second, there were apparently three waves right? If the first wave was five face cards until Uhura was released which was then six face cards, how is that still considered first wave?
Uhura was an addition in the first series of bridge crew figures, she was simply added to the assortment.

In terms of packaging, it's a different series but I don't know if I'd call it a separate wave, it likely happened within a few months.

Maybe, but now I am starting to think otherwise
That's entirely up to you, promoting the site wasn't my motivation to post this.

So your going to take my frustration from trying to get some info and turn into my asking the forum to kiss my butt?

NH Chronicles, an ABC news series, recently did a story on me and my collection and about my authoring a collectible book. I was able to get a copy on DVD from them and with their permission it is now uploaded on youtube:
YouTube - ABC Interview with Star Trek Collector Steve Kelley

I thought some of you might get a kick out of seeing it
