It seems like every year as soon as the weather gets nice, I seem to back off from the toy hobby almost to the point of not even caring. But then every fall I start thinking about it again, and I'm much more active in the winter with both customs, collecting, and museum activity. I'm sure it certainly has to do with the weather, and not my passion for toys. I know many of you are active collectors year round, but do you find yourself more or less active at certain times of year?

Late spring and summer are always time better spent doing things outside and taking vacations,
so toys are put on the back burner. I definitely see a slow down in orders during the summer,
which is fine with me since I want to have more time to spent with the family too. -
I believe men's testosterone levels rise in the fall (no joke) and that may be a factor. Like the squirrel out there hustling for acorns in the fall to ensure a good winter, maybe a basement full of recently procured collectibles makes your brain feel well stocked for winter...INEPT VINTAGE WISENHEIMER

Hmmm, for someone who digs out in the wild as opposed to buying online, toy hunting is a spring/summer hobby. The sales start to slow down once it gets cold......gotta say it's the opposite for me......Comment

Yes,although this summer June-July was really hot and we had no rain for over a month.All the smaller rivers were so shallow i never made it out to do any fishing/boating,etc.I think i mowed my grass 3 times so far this tear which is actually a good thing.So i sat inside in the air conditioning and did get some stuff done on a couple customs.Comment

Excellent point. I've noticed that too. I stop customizing from June - August. It's too damn hot in my house. Since Labor Day I've made 2 figures.If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.Comment

Fall brings back childhood memories more than any other season ... It's possible because subconsciously we're all intuned with school starting and new TV shows.Comment

Yup, we even see a decrease in attendance at our wrestling events for NWA Fusion during the summer months. We have already started to see the rise in attendance once again as fall nears. Fall is my favorite time of the year as well!Comment
