    I need some advice

I recently sent 2 money orders to 2 seperate people in here and have not received anything back in a month now. Should I name these people ? I do not want to be a pest but I sent over 118 dollars and feel like an idiot now. Do I have any recourse? Any advice on what to do would be greatly appreciated.

Did you buy out of the Market Place or just from a PM? If it was from the Market Place bump the thread saying your still waiting for your stuff.

As a relatively new member who wishes to sell less megos on ebay and more megos here on mm, I am curious as to what are acceptable amounts of time that should be allowed between holds and sales received and payment sent and items recieved. But I would think four weeks is more than I would be willing to wait for product. I hope nothing ill has happened to the sellers! Are they on the good traders list?

A little communication isn't asking too much, and a month is a pretty long time not to hear from them. Things do happen in life that may cause an unexpected delay, but oddly they often seem to happen after someone's been paid.

Very good news to report, I was able to contact one seller and he gave me a tracking number for Canada Post. The Riddler should be here on Monday or Tuesday. He got tangled up over the labour day weekend somehow. I have not reached the other seller yet but hopefuly that will change as well. Both sellers were from this site and selling in the market place. The Riddler is secure and now working to secure Tarzan as well. I am really glad that I did not mention names as it appears things are getting resolved. I will update when more news arrives. Thank you to everyone for there support. If anyone has a complete Mr. Fantastic or Iron Man gloves I would be happy to buy them from you.

You should always check the join date and number of posts the seller has. It's not always the case but pretty much all the long time regulars are solid sellers. Unfortunately the trying economy has caused some issues but that happens occasionally. We have had a recent influx of new members only appearing here to sell their wares directly and not have to pay ebay's fees. Not that we frown on that, because sometimes it results in die hard collectors getting quality pieces for themselves. But there's not always a lot of seller transaction history to draw upon when making the decision. I would only pay by Paypal with a new member and never with the gift option. Even if you have to pay the fees, I believe it's worth it for the extra couple of bucks to have the security of being able to recoup your money if it's not sent. Peter Griffin says it best. Canada sucks! At least for the Post. I'm only 8 hours from Toronto and I get stuff from China faster than I get stuff from Canada sometimes. Sometimes holidays, and just the local Post Office can cause serious delays. I shipped an ebay sale yesterday to an address 12 miles away from the PO I sent it from. I tracked it today and it was in NJ. Sent a package to Doc mego a while back and it ended up in Indiana 3 days later. He's only 4 hours away from me. Wonder why the PO is struggling to not lose half a billion dollars in the US. My packages log more frequent flyer miles than a business man. Hope all works out for you with your stuff.

I was able to contact the 2nd seller and he assured me that Tarzan was being mailed out on Monday. At least Tarzan is coming from the states and not Canada like the Riddler is. Will continue to update as things move along.

glad to hear Relic is making progress on getting his stuff. And all that info on Canadien/U.S shipping sounds like a raw deal for good mm members up north. As a new member who is both a die hard mego collector but also seller for (modest) profit, I learned a lot from mego crazy thread just above me. I will now no longer insist on gift option with paypal. And I always try to assess what I think something would sell on ebay and when i list here I deduct 15-20% and include free shipping. But it's still guesstimation. Let us know when your figures arrive, Relic! Enjoy!

I still think there is no excuse to take a month to mail something. And no contact is one of the worst things to do. I know many members will agree that there is no excuse for not taking 2 minutes to stay in touch. This subject has been discussed many times before.

LOL reminds me of poor Black Knight on here. Somehow I missed his paypal payment on a BSG Cylon and he waited like a month to ask me on the figure. I felt SO bad I sent him a free Doctor Who figure with his Cylon. As a seller I would want someone to ask me about their order as soon as possible in case I over looked it. I always try to ship stuff out daily.
