Mego/Palitoy/Bradgate POTA and Trek ad from Titans UK Comic Book...

Recently got into the Marvel UK comics from the 70's. Great covers and it's just nice to see Marvel Comics closer to the original art size.

Recently I've been looking into the British Comics from the 70's. The Annuals looked like something I would be interested in...mainly because they are hardcovers and the art on the covers were amazing. Then I started looking at some of the weekly comics. I know that they are reprints of the US comics...but some of the

Going through the Titans (Fantastic Four/Daredevi/Ghost Rider featured in the books) and I came across a full page ad for the Mego/Palitoy/Bradgate POTA and Trek figures:

If the Mods want a bigger scan for the Gallery or Library with no watermark in it just message me and I'll get you a scan.

Anyone know who did the art for the ad?? Like some of the art in the Marvel Comics in the UK...it was most likely a Bullpen artist for Marvel that did the ad.

Those are cool. I have those ads in a few of my old Marvel UK publications.

That's excellent. The artwork looks like it could be by British artist Ian Gibson.

^Thank you! I couldn't think of his name. He did some work for DC in the late 80s, particularly the late 80s Mister Miracle series. You can see a similar art style at work in this poster. The chiseled features are very similar.

Wasn't Gibson on of THE artists on Judge Dredd?(The Eagle Series from the UK) Since I've been starting to some research on the Marvel UK stuff I am finding out a lot of really interesting things. There's a Bolland Hulk cover in on of the Marvel UK books. Just some really cool information. Now I've got to keep an eye out for the variations of this ad in the books I'll be getting from the UK.

Yes, Gibson was a regular artist on 2000AD, drawing Judge Dredd, Robo-Hunter, Halo Jones, Ace Trucking Co., and a few other strips.
