Went to the Pittsburgh toy comic convention this weekend VIDEO COMING SOON

I will be honest I didn't take as much video as I wanted, because I was too busy spending money. There were only two tables with Megos, but the first one was really good. Bought some clear plastic cases for $3 and a repro batman cape and Gloves (he threw in a extra set for free). I took my son and nephew with me, so I paid a small fortune at the door, and I gave them some spending money as well. I should have concentrated on spending money on more expensive items, instead I was more focused on quanity. Got some great deals, and finally picked up another Fantastic Four #52 (only paid $30)

The Mego table closest to the entrance was probably Gary, a regular at Mego Meet. I upgraded my Catwoman thanks to him. There were a few other tables that had a few Megos, but the selection was pretty sparse and in bad shape. There was another guy on the other side of the show floor, near the fudge stand, but his stuff was pretty rough and overpriced. I asked about a Batgirl, and he wanted $160 for her. He was a little less friendly when I pointed out that the boots looked like repros. He said he did have some repro parts, but seemed less than eager to disclose them.
Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?

Hello all!! This is my first post. Just joined up a few days ago. Just wanted to say that I went to the Pittsburgh toy show as well. I've just recently began to collect WGSH megos. I'm 39 and have always collected vintage Star Wars and 80's G.I. Joe's. Anyway I met Gary at the show. He seemed really nice. I bought a boxed Iron Man and Superman from him. Also picked up the RC loose Batman that he had. Seemed like he gave me a fair price. Like I said, I'm new to Megos and I've been trying to educate myself on repro accessories and such. It looked to me that the Batman chest emblem was a repro but he said it wasn't. Maybe some of you have had more dealings with him?? I look forward to expanding my collection and reading everyones posts. Definitely planning on attending the Mego meet next year. Cheers!!

To my knowledge, Gary has always been pretty reliable about disclosing repro parts. It looked like he had everything else labelled. I bought a Thor from him years ago, and he told me what wasn't original.
