Mego Dukes of Hazzard Bootleg?

I found a 3 3/4" Mego Dukes of Hazzard Cooter figure. He doesn't quite look right to me. I've owned other Dukes figures but never a Cooter before. The paint seem's just a little too sloppy, and the head has a lot of lines in it from the plastic filling the mold too slowly. But the most obvious thing is that on the back it only says "Hong Kong." Every on-line photo I can find of the back is a bit blurry, but they appear to say "Made in Hong Kong."

Does anyone know if Cooter was ever bootleged?
Can anyone tell me what it says on the back of their Cooter.
