Is there any kind of release date on this? If it's 2012, I can't think of any release I'd anticpate more. The Star Wars stuff is stupidly funny, especially the emporer. Maybe they'll do a similarly cool rip on Darkseid.

There really isn't any better advertisement for Megos these days than Robot chicken. shame Mattel Retros are done, otherwise it would have been a great opportunity.

Scott, it's going to be on this fall, I want to say October. It features Aquaman vs. the rest of the Super Friends. He's tired of them taking him for granted and making fun of him. Sounds like it'll be fun.

At the Mattel booth at SDCC was a carded Retro Action Batman autographed by the Robot Chicken
guys. So they like the attention the line is getting, but not enough to make more?

I'm almost disgusted they opted to use Mattel's retro figures over original Mego figures. I hope they all fall over while they film. And have bowed legs, and the emblems split when they redress them, and they can't find enough of them at retail, and they want other figures that they can't find because the line was discontinued. Sorry I'm ranting..........................................M attel Sucks!

Superman doesn't look like a Mattel body. Hands look wrong. Same with Aquaman.

hands look like Matty to me. the bodies look like they were replaced or modified with wire armatures for the limbs, which makes sense for the stop mo.

The Robot Chicken producers bought up a lot of cases of Retro Action months ago. They are pretty rough
on the puppets so they need more than one of each, so using vintage MEGO figures would have been
too expensive and difficult to obtain.

Don't be too upset with Mattel - they have killed a lot of good lines recently. It's the nature of internal
management change.

Mattel to me,has always been hard to figure out. Back in the 90s they were crying how Hasbro,Toy Biz and Playmates were doing great with their boys stuff and they didn't have squat. Then they bring back MOTU,do the DC stuff,have the rights to the WWE stuff and so on,yet they keep dropping the ball with everything. But hey,what can you do? It's their call on these things.
