    rarest loose figure

I haven't been collecting too long but seems like any of the fantastic four or maybe the other girls (catwoman or supergirl) are the hardest loose figures to find. Just wondering what you guys with more time in thought?

IW is probably the least seen of the female figures. Plus the number of them with zombie head is higher also. Supergirl definately seems to be the one that collectors most desire. Isis is another hard to find in mint condition figure, mostly due to the white dress and extremely fragile boots. The females in general are less seen than the males by a longshot. While the male characters are called "action figures" the female's were dolls and boys don't play with dolls, so demand was not as significant as with the other characters like Batman, Robin, Superman, Spidey, all of which could be seen on TV at the time and were top selling comics also.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

      Hmmm,
I say the Supergirls with the silk screened suits are a pretty tough get.

Also, I think the Space 1999's are a tough one... especially a complete Alan Carter and John Koenig.

The Fantastic Fours aren't really that rare.
They're just really popular so everyone wants them all the time.

Yeah,it seems like every other day on eBay you see an auction for the Fantastic Four. I'd go with what ever figure had to most parts to it like a Conan or a Thor or a Iron Man.

If you are just talking about non variant figures - I would say
Some because of overall scarcity others because of scarcity of complete figures

NOTE - this is just what I have seen over the past decade - not a transcript of calculated numbers

                Least common listed first:
                Secret IDs
                -clark
                -bruce
                -dick
                -pete
                RM Robin
                The Four Teen Titans
                -Speedy
                -Wondergirl
                -aqualad
                -kid flash
                Supergirl (slippers!)
                Batgirl (PURSE!)
RC batman (all correct for period)
Green Arrow -sure you you find gobs of them missing pieces
                Thor with all pieces parts
                Isis complete with intact boots
                Conan
                FF Riddler
                Riddler
                green goblin (with BAG)
                iron man
                Catwoman
                Lizard
                FF Batman
                FF Robin
                Invis woman (no gray)
Wonder Woman (more scarce if you want boots)
                Cap (with good shield sticker)
                FF Joker
                Falcon

the rest are pretty easy to find complete (minus emblems)

Ridiculously easy to find - Spider-man! They made a bazillion of them. Variants are rare - he had nothing to lose (except the suit which is pretty hard to loose)

I'm gonna agree with wee67. RM Robin complete and SI Clark Kent complete are Really hard to find at all. The rest you can find if you have the money for them for them.

The 2 toughest figures to get complete standard production, not test shots, prototypes or one offs, is:

Large S Superman~~ By the way $400.00 reward for an unplayed with example
RM Mask Robin, mask not broke~
                      AE Clark Kent
                      followed closely by:
Unfaded Catwoman still rich in color &
                      Green Arrow Unfaded

All other figures are common in compared to the top 2 and maybe the bottom 2~

                      Wildstar~~

AGREED!!! one of the toughest if not the toughest figure to complete loose. Still looking for a Hat and Cape for mine. SI/AE Clark Kent is probably on the same level. As for the more richly porduced figures that are tough to complete IMO:

Green Arrow (Try finding one with an unbroken strap for the backpack or belt or even a unbroken bow)
Robin Hood (Accessories are a royal pain)
Will Scarlet (Accessories are a royal pain)
any of the Teen Titans (Took me 6 years to find a Speedy Hat)
Pirates (almost all of them...Patch being the easiest and Lafitte and LJS being the harder of the group)
                        Skinny Boot RC Bats
Skinny Boot Large "S" Supes without an unfaded or non purpling (SP?? Word??) outfit
                        RM Robin
                        Circle Suit Spidey
Screen Printed Supergals (Catwoman, Batgirl, Supergirl)
                        Alter Egos

IMO, on the early figures the hardest thing to find are the proper Gloves to go with Bats and Robin...early versions have the different patterns on each side of the glove.

Zorro though has to be at the top of the list IMO. Good call Chris.

The UK Fist Fighters aren't that easy either - not in good condition anyway.

Moving away from the WGSH, Alan Carter, Paul Morrow and Commander Koenig with all original parts can be tough ones too - esp' those little red comlocks.

I'll second that sentiment. I've yet to find a decent Fist Fighting UK Superman.
