They look great. The Mutant is one of my favourite Universal Monsters, so he is a must have. I think it really works with the cloth outfit (plus gives it a more retro feel). The 12" Sideshow version looks fantastic, but they went with rubber, and although it looks authentic, it really limits his posebility.

Seeing those new pics I'm even more impressed with that Metaluna Mutant*

You know, I am not much of a monster guy, but these figures are friggin' spectacular. Quite possibly the best line of retro figures yet.

          Great job! Love them!
They're top of the food chain when it comes to the rebirth of Mego.

And am I the only one, but don't you just love the PJ bottoms on the Mutant? I'd love to have PJs like that!

Metaluna is a definite must-have! Of course, I'll get the Phantom, too, but Metaluna is everything a b-movie fan could ask for.

Oh, very nice! Uncle Scrotor and Erik! Total win for me! I'll be looking forward to adding both of these to my collection. (Phantom might wind-up in my wife's collection, actually.)

The Phantom has been approved by Universal without any mask, and we are still
waiting on the nod on the Mutant. Once he is approved, I will send Brian some
                detailed turnarounds to post.

I am still recovering from the trip to SDCC but I'm glad to hear that these guys
                have been so well received.

Have to agree that this line has been the best retro one done IMO. The ones that were remakes of Mego monsters were not the same ones the way the CTVT ones were, and the new designs have been simply fantastic. The sculpts, the suits, have been pretty much all you could ask for as a collector.

Usually you expect to see some detail loss when compared to 12 inch designs and this line has been anything but throughout. Love the Meta Luna Mutant. The detail is great. I can't picture them not approving that. What more could you ask for? Even if they only release 2 figures a year at Halloween time if they look like this and the line continues for a couple of more years, I could see these being highly sought after in 20 years. Fantastic job all around.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

They're both so much win. The outfit on the Phantom is just plain art. I love that sculpt - I'm totally cool with making my own mask (*just have to get him in my hands to cast a positive!) =)
On Metaluna - I am very glad it's pretty much exactly how I was going to do one. It's ace when that happens because suddenly I have time for other stuff!!
