The skin tone and translucent "waxiness" work against many BBP sculpts IMO.

The lack of opacity does a disservice to the sculpt, & the skin tone makes the characters look washed-out.

Yeah, I'm still not seeing it in the end result, while I could clearly recognize Lee in the prototype sculpt.

The customs make me think of the Kenner toy, which is cool but is not necessary in a the new version to me. If I were to copy Kenner, I would use the Maskatron Steve face since it does not have a big hole for one eye. Or I would want to find a way to drill out the head and put a lens in there so I could have a smaller version of the bionic eye.

I like the customs. Their very reminiscent of the old Kenner figure. But I do like the new one alot. I think BBP is doing a great job at bringing this line back to life. Can't wait to get mine!

Hmm, I'm seeing Roger Moore and George Lazenby, but not the easily unique features of Lee Majors.

I think either the Bionic Joe and Basa sculpts would have been perfect.

    The outfit is fine.

And Bigfoot......hasn't got big feet and looks a bit overweight. If anything he looks like hairy version of that guy in Lost.

I can post a link to the sticker if anyone would like to print their own. I just did super cheapo photo 4x6 cut-outs and added double sided tape, but it would be cool if someone did a vinyl sticker run *(HINT)
THIS should have been the new SMDM figure.

It looks great inn so many ways

The new real release is dull and boring at best

I'll be getting it. The head issues aren't as glaring for me as some other releases, and like someone said, when might we have another chance to get a SMDM figure? I just wish BBP would make one like the 7" Alex Ross designed Flash Gordon figures they made, as well. Those fit in perfect with DC Direct's KIngdom Come and Justice lines.

EDIT: Tothiro's SMDM custom is very, very cool! Very nice costume, especially.

    That's what I thought.
I had some reservations about the clay sculpt, but I was waiting to see it completed before making my mind up. Now it seems really different.

At the risk of sounding overly observant, there's four "laces" that go straight across left to right without angles or crisscrossing.
I mean, humanitarian kudos for finding a factory that's never made shoes before, but you'd think someone in the sculpting room might have looked at the source material?

(or the three side stripes... but laces seems a lot more obvious to me)
