do you collect wgsh t1 or t2 or both?

    hi gang,
just wondering if you all collect wgsh t2 figures or t1 figures? i've been collecting t2 figures because of the more muscular body and poseability. the t1 body tends to be un super hero like. anyways i've acquired some t1 figures and i'm beginning to notice, thanks to ben's book, that the t1 figures are very well made.. the costumes are much thicker and there is definitely a subtle difference in the heads as well. because finances are limited, i'm facing a dilemna---- t1? t2? or both? how do you guys collect?

It's all good over here... either or. I have a decent mix of guys sporting both body types, and to me, they both have their charms.

The first 8" Mego I scored as an adult collector was a T1 Superman and he was followed by a T1 Spidey. For a while there I made a point of getting only T1s, then I bought a nice T2 Robin and I liked the way his legs looked without the metal joints. I also liked that he felt more solid and/or substantial than my T1s. After getting a few more of both body types, I realized that I actually had no preference.

Then I got a Muhammad Ali figure, and now I wish that all of my 8" Megos of either body type were 10" tall with rubber clad limbs and weighed at least 1 pound.

Both for me as well. I like the look of the Type 1 Shazam over the Type 2. But I like the Type 2 Batman over the Type 1 for the fact the Type 2 can fit in his numerous vehicles better.

Both for me, it doesn't really matter. And while I usually use T2's for my customs I've also used T1's too, so T1 or T2 really doesn't matter to me

I'm easy either way. There are some that I have duplicates of ....
T1 Robin and T2 FF Robin
T1 RC Batman and T2 FF Batman
T1 Sewn on sleeve Supes, T1 Regular sleeve Supes, T2 FF Supes and regular T2 Supes.
            T1 and T2 Penguin.

There was a time when T2 was favourite but as time has gone on I am really begining to appreciate the T1 a lot more.

My Apes and Trek are a selection of both types, and the only thing that factors what I keep in these lines is condtion.

Since beginning my new collection of Mego figures, I have purchased both T-1 and T-2 styles. I always preferred the look of the T-2s but I have fond memories of my early Mego collection that featured many, many T-1s. When buying I really don't factor in the body type, I'm more concerned with the overall condition of the figure and outfit.

Some characters I have both versions of, but most I just have one. I like t2's on most characters but I agree with Anthony, certain characters look better with less bulk, and I've made a point of keeping those on t1's, while other characters look better on the t2, so I go with that.

                    I'm a T1 guy myself.

I like T1 the best only because it reminds me most of what I played with as a kid. That "spread eagle" stance just brings back memories! All of my heroes were on T1 bodies - I had moved on to other things by the time the T2 bodies started becoming popular.

It doesn't matter to me, though I agree that some figures look better on certain type bodies.

T1 where appropriate, T2 if they weren't released on T1. As a kid, I much preferred T2 because of the playability, but as an adult the T1's look more... nostalgic to me, I guess.

I like T1 so much that the majority of my customs are on those bodies!

I believe all of mine are T2's, although I'd never turn any of 'em away. (Don't tell my wife.....)

I collect both. I prefer the T2 bodies slightly. I am not crazy about the lack of posability with the T1's. Plus I prefer the plastic over the metal rivets.

Bottom line though, I like them both.

Makes no never mind to me, The only time i check is when the figure was only aviable on one body type like a type1 RC/BATMAN or a type2 THOR, my collection is mixed
