    FX Show, Who's going?

Every year it loses a little luster, but I'm still going. Who else is going?

nahh, I used to go. One year I met up with several MM guys. The OCCC just sucks, and the admission/parking fees kill me.

Nice show, could only attend the AM yesterday as my son and I were pretty beat from a late flight.

He made like a bandit, secret wars playsets, figures etc. I got a metal man and an old Sears catalog.

Got to meet shellhead and see his awesome customs,ScottA had some neat goodies, wandering around I met Dave Lepage and Damien as well.

Good show mego wise, every aisle had something, Mr Huckabone being the pinnacle. I drooled yet again at the Green Arrow kresge card.

I was dissapointed with some of the star cancellations and they changed the general admission time to 10 instead of 9 like its been in the past but all in all it wasn't bad.
I came across a toy both run by some german guy who had the mintiest Ghost of captain kid that I had ever seen and the coffin box itself was crisp with no flaws. He wanted $100 but he said he would have listened to offers. I am sure I could have gotten it for $75 but was a little tight with money. When I made my way around again later I see someone snagged it up which no doubt must have been by another member!? Good score if you ask me!
I met Brian whom seemed like a nice guy and I also ran into to Toys2cool with his less enthuzed girlfriend .

I did manage to buy a soldier ape (missing gloves) Urko (complete) and an Ursus (with soldier ape bandolier) for $50 out the door. They were in good shape. Certainly not the deal of the century but enough to stimulate the mego pallet.

I will go again next year i'm sure.........

                            Hey!
I was the one who bought the Lensy Ghost of Capt. Kidd figure. I got it for $65.00. It is incredible and dead mint. The coffin box looks case fresh and the figure and accessories are perfect. I have seen these in the brown mailer box before but never in this package. I'll post a photo later. The guy who had it wasn't set up on Friday morning when the show opened so I didn't see this til Sat. It was my find of the show .

I also picked up a carded "kitchen sink" Aquaman for $70.00 on Friday AM. He has a red torso which is really visible which makes him really cool. My only other Mego snag was a loose complete C-8 Thor for my loose set from Gerry Flores.

One guy had a loose Moonraker Jaws figure for $80.00, but I don't have any of these yet so I left it.

There was a silk-screened Supergirl in a C-7 box. The guy wouldn't go below 400.00 for her which seemed like high retail to me.

I too saw Huck's incrdible cases of Megos including the affore-mentioned Kresge Green Arrow.

Show was certainly smaller than previous years but still fun. Met Nathan Fillion, Captain Mal from Firefly. Adam West was charging $50.00 for his auto. I passed on that. I saw many parents with little kids sulk away when they were told the price. Problem was you didn't know how much he was charging until you got in front of him. Everyone else (some real actors mind you) were charging $25.00.

All in all I'm pretty happy!

                              Hey All.

I'm back as well. I really wanted Adam West's auto to go with my Burt Ward but just couldn't pay the $50. After I found out what he charged I didn't even bother with Helen Slaters.

I saw Brian but seemed to have missed everyone else. Or at least no one said Hi at the booth I was at. Anyway, not a bad show this year. Unusually high mego content, even if you don't count Marks' stuff. I did see his Palitoy Joker on the green card and the 12" non-magnetic Batman in the purple box. Pieces to die for but since I'm not made of money I had to pass. I saw 2 Bat Vans in the boxes, RC Batman and Aquaman with yellow legs, lots of loose WGSH's in varying conditions, loose and carded POTA's and the EMCE Treks. Strangly I didn't buy one Mego item. Guess I'm getting picky at my old age.

Also wanted to mention Benjamins book was being sold by a comic book vendor. Nice to see a stack of them.

The only things I bought were the 13" DC Direct figures of classic Batman, Batgirl, Nightwing and Shazam for $35 each. So I was happy.
