Mego Museum Podcast: Mego Meet Pre-Show / Toyroom dreamin?

On this rambling, sprawling spring time edition of the Mego Museum podcast Brian and Scott talk about Brian’s Megoriffic trip to New York city. He and Scott share tips on parenting with 1990s toys. We discuss the challenges and joys of having your own Toy Room. We look forward to Mego Meet 2012. Break down the new exclusives from BifBangPow for the San Diego Comic Con. We chat about the new Kiss figures. We hash out Mego vs ReMego and Brian gets all weird about “Manimal”. All that and so much more.

Podcast Recap: When in NYC, Brian heartily recommends visits to St. Marks Comics and Toy Tokyo. Which are within walking distance of each other. Also Brian enjoyed his time at this establishment.

Scott got a set of Kiss figures from Entertainment Earth

Mego Meet is June 8th to the 9th, you should go.

How to get the most out of your Detolf.

Dr Rudy Wells is one of the insanely wonderful things Bifbangpow is doing this year for SDCC.

Brian has an odd passion for this series, which he admits is terrible.

Always great as I sit at my desk and eat lunch

And yes, we have a pretty good level of Biff Bang Pow availability. I'm surprised that the boxed Mego Thor at Midtown has not sold yes. If I didn't already have one, $500 is not a bad price.

Sorry I didn't get to touch base Bill but my wife and I found out we could go four hours before we had to be at the airport. We wanted longer to visit and explore but it wasn't in the cards.

Ah! ST Marks comics... I found a pretty good selection of undergrou d's there I think. Mostly Corben stuff. After the disappointment of not being able to find Village Comics.

Aah! I've shopped at St Mark's before! I used to go there and to Jim Hanley's Universe (Where I worked out a Mego for Art Page deal with Mingola!)

I picked up mainly undergrounds at both - but my taste was running Deth P. Sun, Brian Ralph's Cave-In and stuff like that.

                  Good times.

                            That was fantastic!!!! Luv'd it.

I'm delighted you liked the Bob Crane/Mantooth joke.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.
