The scale might be off. I've been burned by this woman on more than one occasion. You have been warned.

She can sculpt. I'll give her that.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

It's a number of different sculptors, not just one person, which explains the inconsistancies in likeness and size. I've also heard they don't worry much about the quality of the molds and just send out whatever comes out of them.
Having said that, there are a few nice looking heads on their web page that I would like to have. I haven't ordered because I hear more bad than good.
Expectation is the death of discovery.

... Not sure how anyone got burned by this "Woman" ....
Sure the Sculpts can very in likeness quality , as far as any Sculpted piece by a group or a single person can be .... Size and scale are in the eye of the beholder , but to degrade the product put out by Wanted outside of anything other, can be viewed as acts of Malace and or Ignorance IMO ....., I've never seen better poured custom pieces, and certainly NOT in 1/6th Scale.

I've admittedly never ordered. I've only seen the reviews and complaints on other boards such as Sideshow Freaks. I followed a thread where they had the Bill Murray head sculpted and the experience and results were less than spectacular.

There were also numerous complaints about the quality of the cast, but if you are saying the quality is good, then I'm glad to hear that. It's the main reason I've never ordered. That and head sizes.

So, ignorance perhaps on my part. No malice.

I've never ordered anything 1/9 scale so ...., I dunno the issues there.

I've not received the head yet, but in the course of commissioning it, I was asked to measure a mego head in about 10 different ways so the scale would be right.

I was very pleased with the sculpt myself from the jpegs sent me. I spent too much money on it, but Johnny Weismuller's Tarzan is one of my favorites from childhood. I doubted anyone else would ever splurge to get one sculpted.

So now, anyone who wants a JW Tarzan can have one. I'll chalk it up to my meager service to the mego custom community.

Anyone (or 10) want to go in on a Errol Flynn Robin Hood sculpt?

That would be interesting but I'd really want a screen accurate costume as well...

Oh yeah, the costume has to be right. But there are those who have skills that might be able to help.

Buy the supposed "1:6" Kolchak head and tell me if it's in scale. I did and it isn't.

Secondly, I commissioned her to sculpt the "Brent" Planet of the Apes head and asked her not to cast it. She did. She sells it on ebay. The head that I paid $250 for you can buy for $25.

                      I consider that burned.

                        Hey guys,

Don't order the Weissmuller head. It's way too small. Like too small for a lion rock body.

I think the likeness is excellent, but I was jipped on the size, and that's after measuring a mego Tarzan head to send them the exact measurements.

                        Buyer beware.

Not all is lost. Maybe someone on the board could help you out by enlarging it with hydrospan. Then you could make copies and sell it yourself and make some of your money back.

Would the head work on a Teen Titan's body? I'm sure it isn't the custom figure you were aiming to make. Maybe you could paint it to look like Tarzan's son Boy?

If you are looking for an excellent sculptor who knows scale. Contact: Alejandro Lopez Ramirez. I think he's $250 for a commission OR if you can get 12 people to agree to buy it the price is $35 each and he waives the $250.

It's too small for a titans body. Aren't they the same size as lion rock bodies? Too small for an Our Gang body. Someone will soon be working on a solution for me. The only thing I can figure is that the sculpt was made mego size and when it was cast the person didn't allow for shrinkage at all.

Thanks for the tip on Ramirez, but I don't think I'll be commissioning any more sculpts. I'm going to do my best to avoid any more experiences like this one.
