The Astros and knockoffs look completely different. Not even close to the Megos and CIPSAs

It is interesting for me that since I never collected any apes as a kid, I have been able to keep myself in check on the adult collection. I do love to look at the stuff people post, though. Especially the Cispa box art!
        It's all good!

I think that is what fuels everyone's passion for collecting, which can be summed up in one word - nostalgia. I collect the figures that bring back fond childhood memories. I never was into comics, so my exposure to WGSH during childhood were from the Batman TV series, the Saturday morning cartoons (Batman, Robin, Superman, Aquaman), the 60's Spiderman cartoon series and the 70's Spiderman live action series. Therefore, I collect Batman, Robin, Superman, Aquaman and Spiderman. I have zero interest in any others and wonder what all the fascination is with Thor, Captain America, Green Arrow, Teen Titans, etc. I wouldn't pay a dime for a minty figure of any of those guys cause they have no correlation to my childhood memories. My best memories are watching the POTA series (I actually saw those long before I got to see the movies) and getting my Mego POTA figures and treehouse, thus fueling my passion for collecting Apes.

I only owned a couple of Megos as a kid. A 8" Superman and Robin is as much as I remember. But my passion has ballooned to all things Mego and to me, it is the fun of owning some of the Megos that you could only have dreamed of owning as a kid while drooling at the ads in the funny books.

as for as toys, nada, i had a huge Star Trek Collection Around The Time Of First COntact, that was stolen, it was huge i hope whoever took them enjoyed them as much, sadly i stopped collecting after that it is only recently i have started picking up toys again. My collection was fairly nice one of each playmates figure both carded and loose, even had the 1701's and Thomas Riker Rares.

well i had to come to a hard decision, i have to finish my trek stuff first, i need a klingon and a kirk, i have a emce kirk, but i kinda want an original ( as nice as the retro is)
so now this is the list of what i will get in order.

                                1. Kilngon
                                2. Kirk
                                3. Corneilus
                                4. Zaius
                                5. Zira
                                6. Galen
                                7. Urko
                                8. then i want to try and do a Caesar custom, first from Escape and battle, then the 2011 film version.

since i suffer from agoraphobia, my money is what i call tighter than a frogs butt, but i will eventually get them.
