^^^ Yep. You are correct. The character name was different although the character/story dynamic were more or less the same as the series. Good catch!

No, McGavin played a character named "Oliver Spencer", who was head of the OSO in the first movie. For the second and third movies, and then the regular series, the OSO became the OSI, now headed by Richard Anderson as "Oscar Goldman".

A dual Spencer-Goldman figure wouldn't be very accurate, as Spencer was a foot shorter. He also had a somewhat hunched back and a crippled leg, requiring a cane to walk.

But, a line of "Kolchak" figures with various monsters and villains...

    Gotcha!
But I thought BifBangPow! was going for the Richard Anderson likeness...
Oh... mutliple Oscar heads! Now I understand!
    Okay, that would be cool!

The Rudy Wells bin is an awesome idea! You know what this had me thinking? It's too bad they didn't do one for Oscar Goldman too. Obviously it's for selfish reasons, but we could have gotten our Night Stalker head as well with that.

    I would. Seriously.

I love this concept for both series.

I'd be curious to know more about the SMDM 'tote', like is it it suppose
to be a printed metal sheet inside that lifts out, revealing the rest of the compartment?
Actually, I was hoping they would release an Oscar Goldman with it as well.
I mean, 'the' briefcase and no Oscar?
    Hmmm....

This is fun. I pre-ordered through the EE link here. I'll have to pick up a few free lance jobs soon if more things come out this year.

ANY "vintage" looking lunchbox a parent tries to give a kid of today is going to be considered "lame"

Well, there might be some folks who'd want to use it as a lunchbox, or maybe even give it to their kids, but not that one. Like I said, lame.

It's something you can carry around and people can see what cool thing you're into. Now if the new Oscar comes w/ an expodling Mego scale briefcase, that's coolness, but a briefcase lunchbox....lame. (IMO)

will there ever be a regular release Rudy? I really am not interested in paying that much for a "tote" and two extra heads.
