OK I know the debate has been is Captain Eagle a Mego or just a KO sold with left over Mego AJ uniforms? That's a question I could deal with. But noooooooooooooo I have to find another more complicated question: Captain Eagle is there a Mexico connection? Any? While rumors and speculation run rampant on the net on everything I have to ask what's up with this?
The seller mention these were purchased from a collector in Mexico. The only thing that made me think KO or Ledy is the color of one of the heads. Many Meixcan toys have this waxy cast(lower right corner head) Notice the heads are all molded in different colors? I have had maybe 7 Captain Eagles but they were all the same. Look at the bodies here:
The pelvis on left and middle is different than the ones I have had. Anyone seen this before?
Here are markings on the back:
Gijoe in Mexico has Made in USA on behind still even though made in Mexico so the Hong Kong markings don't mean much. The 2 figures with different pelvises have different elastic than 3 figure too.
Anyone have any ideas?
