Hello. My name is Trevor.
I was a kid in the 70s and remember all these great toys that you talk about here.
Brings back a lot of great memories.
My colecting interests mainly fall into model kits and comic books though.
I am slowly working towards the ulitmate Conan comic book collection.
And I am obsessed with the Aurora Prehistoric Scenes model kits.
Which is what brought me here. The members here have quite the extensive library of 70's catalogs and store fliers.
I am hoping to find more information and narrow my search for such items that contain the prehistoric scenes model kits.
While looking around, I also notices some familiar screen names from other online haunts. So I think I will fit in just fine around here.
Looking forward to having some fun and sharing tales of old toys.Comment

Hello Everyone !
Okay so this a little backwards because , I have been posting before I really Introduced myself. Okay so here goes.....
My name is Jason. I am a avid mego Collector / Fan / Admirer. I have loved the Mego 8" figures since oh I don't know probably my 7th b-day. I still remember getting my very first mego, the regular non removable cowl Batman. The memories stick in my head and well every December the memories always come back. I can still remember him in his window box , and opening him while watching " Yogi's first christmas " on a little GE 13" television . While My mom would try and adjust the Rabbit ears anttena to alleviate the fuzz and static.
The funniest and saddest part of this memory revolves around how I was having a party. I remember begging my Mom to put Batman on the Top shelf of my closet so none of my other pint size cousin's , friends, etc. could break him. As that day went on I was feverishly wanting to show him off. my mom knew better and said no . I managed to work him down myself and show him off. The part that would break my 7 year old heart was about to unfold. My cousins would run around with him , and i would chase them saying " give it back now !!!! " Then tragedy struck . A Blue Oven Mitt was officially missing. We looked for what seemed an eternity that day but it was gone.
That b-day started my visit with the world of Mego. That christmas ( 2 weeks later ) saw santa bring me the comic action heroes , and playsets ( exploding bridge set , Etc. ) I also saw the Star Trek the Motion Picture 3.75" figures and vaccu-form Bridge playset. My mon swears she found most of this mego stuff for pennies on the dollar at toy auctions.
Soon other 8" joined by treasury , Thor, Spidey, Cap , Falcon. Not to forget the Remco Drac and Frank I got. These actually to this day have me feverishly collecting whatever I can mego , or Mego like figures.
Well That's my Story Of how I got into Mego Collecting . Nice to Meet Everyone !In The " Real World " Vampires Do Not Sparkle. They Burn In the Sun !

Hi
My name is Iris and I live in Germany.
I am also new here and love to see all Your wonderful Collections and Stories.
I always loved horses and started my Toy collection with TimpoToys and some Elastolin -I still have some of them
My first action doll was a Big Jim in early 70ties. I was not interrested in Barbie dolls. I always had more interrest in Adventure stuff.
My first "big" Modelhorse was the Silver from Lone Ranger.
I also had some of the other Big Jim Assessories - sets.
Some of them I had sold later on a Flea - Market - but I have now
bought some of them back (and some more - mostly at EBay auctions)
Captain Kirk, Dr. McCoy and Mr Spock had been my first Megos.
Since I started to collect Breyer Modelhorses I was looking for nice
Rider - dolls - The first Breyer Rider hadn`t looked good enough for me
But Megos are very good as rider for Breyer Horses. There are soo much
nice different Megos out there...
Now I`ve started to try customizing some Horses and Megos also.
My fave Mego is my cust of the 10th. Doctor -
Thanks to the VERY TALENTED Yanouli from which I could get the Custom Heads for my 10th.Doc. custs.
Greetings to all Toy - collectors and Whovians here

Hi...Umm...I only have 2 Mego's. (Cornelius/Galen and General Ursus)
I'm looking into creating a whole set of POTA Mego figures. I'm 12 years of age. I bought Cornelius and Soldier Ape from Diamond Select Toys (the remakes) And I was really impressed. My Dad is a comic book fan so I might start collecting some Marvel Super Hero mego's.Comment
