Hello from the Great White North! I've been lurking around for awhile and finally decided to join. I haven't collected seriously in several years but lately I've been hearing the call of molded plastic calling my name.
Looking forward to meeting other collectors and finding out more about what is out there. Also toying with the idea of making my own custom Mego boxes (work at print shop with access to great equipment).

Funny how so many of these posts from new members share such similar backgrounds.
Mine is no different from the dozen that I read:Grew up in the 70s, played with a few Megos- longed for MANY more that never materialized- now that I'm old and have kids, It's time to get some Megos! And, a few others.
I started sliding down (the slippery slope) after I purchased a DC Retro Action Shazam and found they had discontinued the line (you *******s!), then started Ebaying and found Famous Covers and Origins figures as well as Mad Monsters and Presidential Monsters and of course original Mego!
I'm looking forward to learning about action figure collecting (and maybe some customizing). I have been collecting Hot Wheels for the last 5 years or so- so I'm not new to collecting- just new to collecting action figures.Leave a comment:

Hello everybody ,
My name is Chuck , and i am a longtime collector of Megos , G.I.Joes , Super Hero stuff , 70's stuff , and other neat things.
I don't do much customizing , but i do rebuild/restore the G.I.Joe Muscle Body , and Super Joe figures .
It is great to have a community of like minded people with whom to share our awesome hobby.
I look forward to making many new friends on here.Leave a comment:

Love This Board
Hello Everyone,
My name is Jason Shackelford and I have been into Megos since I was a child. I can remember getting a Removable Cowl Batman and Robin when I was maybe 4 or 5...sadly they did not last, but many more followed, WGSH, Star Trek, POTA...They got replaced by Star Wars figures for a time and then just vanished...I think my Mom cleaned up one day. Jump ahead 30 plus years and I am 41 with 3 kids and enjoying sharing with them my childhood toys. I started collecting again a couple of months ago, mostly POTA this time around, but I did get a RC Batman and a couple of Green Arrows for good measure.
Love these forums, and all the other web other sites. Really looking forward to getting to know everyone.
Cheers,
JasonLeave a comment:
