Was i Nemoy or Mego that desrves the 'attaboy'?

checking the ratings from last nights Big Bang Theory one has to wonder, was it the Mego or the voice that made the ratings magic happen?

My say is the Mego, not just because of obvious bias but I think the toy itself was just as important as the guest VO artist in the marketing of this particular episode. what say you?

Nimoy has a high enough geek Q rating to bring in more viewers - the
use of the mego just makes it funnier than the actor talking - using the
voice and the toy gives us a scene between Spock and Sheldon, not
elderly Leonard Nimoy-who-played-Spock-on-Star-Trek and Sheldon.

I think credit goes to Warner Bros promotion for getting the clip out to
the Hollywood Reporter from which it then went nerd-viral.

I'd give the nod to Nimoy, but there's no denying "Mego" is now on the radar of more people than ever before...or at least since 1976 or so!

It's Nimoy...TBBT and CBS have been promoting Nimoy being one of this seasons "gets" for a while now (Stephen Hawking being the other). Any Mego
mentions have been secondary....
