I'm guessing that these would be a run later than 74. But I'm really guessing here.
    It's all good!

The 51200 would indicate 1975 and later, I believe

I bought a minty unpunched Carded Klingon from nayrbgo that he opened the sealed Case one in few years ago, he's a great guy.

          BTW,

          Welcome to the Mego Museum!

You're probably correct; another reason to open it up.......hopefully all of the plastic bubbles won't have fallen off and all of the accessories melted!!

.......but that would be my luck............

                Hope I didn't scare you!!!

I'll wager 15 are tip top, 5 are good, and 4 have flaws.
                That was my average.

No, not at all; anytime you purchase an unopened case of vintage (anything!) toys, there's a risk of them not being in 'Mint' condition......but it sure would be nice.....it's ultimately going to depend on how many times this case has been moved/shipped and what kind of climate it was stored in. Sold & re-sold / Shipped 20 times and stored in an attic or a hot storage unit = not good. I'll find out soon enough..............

OH! This is important. If you do indeed open it, carefully slice the BOTTOM tape instead of the top. You can still display the SEALED case even if it is empty since the top tape strip will be untouched and you can hide the opening.

Great tip!! Because even if I keep one and sell the rest, I'll still keep the original shipping box.......

Thanks; appreciate that!!! I would've sliced open the top!!!

It looks so cool to have the boxes sitting pretty there. Who knew that cardboard could be so exciting!!!!

You ain't so bad yourself, buddy!

Do you still have that Klingon? It's fun to know where they are hanging out these days. It's been a couple of years already! Time flies when you're living in the past!!

............but IF I leave it sealed & re-sell it later down the road, then I won't have to worry about what's on the inside and the condition.......provided there's not a bunch of little pieces rolling around the inside of the box!!

First of all congrats on your purchase.

I would open it up from the bottom of the case just as nayrbgo mentioned.

I say this because I am thinking of what could be inside it IF you did not open it up. A case may seem to be sealed alright, but as you mentioned in your earlier posts who knows how many times it has traded hands. ??? This reminds me of so called sealed and unsearched wax packs or boxes.

At this point I am not accusing the seller in no way of tampering with it although someone before him could have. I am just saying. Lets face it. Anything is possible. There may be 24 Bo Dukes in there or worse yet no figures at all just filling in the box to make it heavy enough to think that there are 24 carded figures in there. IF no one ever opens it then who really knows. It is like everything else in life. There is always a risk involved. I wish you the best. Let us know how it turns out whatever decision that you ultimately decide on.
