    A Myxtery?

Last week, fellow museum member Nazgul, posted a pic he took of my Mr. Mxyzpltk that had color variations from the one that he had in his collection. Today I picked up another Myx and was able to take some detailed side by side photos so you guys can take a closer look. In the last thread, some of you suggested that it may be sun faded but it isn't. I lifted the tunic so you can see the brown color is true throughout both sides. When I did this I also noticed the brown trimmed Myx had a label on the inside marked "E Mego" (the purple one did not) Another thing I noticed is the belt on the brown trimmed Myx is thicker and while both of these guys have their original belt decal, the brown trimmed one is more rectangular. Also the stitching under the arms and at the base of the tunic is slightly different as well. Along with all this the hair, hat, skin tone, gloves, and suit material all vary when compared to one another. Check out the pics below...

I also wanted to mention that as I was putting these guys away I also noticed the belt textures are totally different. The purple trim Myx has more of a cross-stitch pattern where the brown trim Myx has kind of a snakeskin type pattern. I hadn't noticed it before but you can see the difference in the belt textures in this pic...

I was talking to someone about this figure today and their thought was that it may be a foreign figure....like a ledy without a blue hat....

Ledy would be synthetic velvet material. I think that you have something more akin to the vinyl capes that was used as the trim on his outfit. Cool stuff!

            I don't think he's a Ledy. He's totally awesome though!!!
