    2011 Mego Museum Kubby Awards!

The Mego Museum is proud to present the 2011 Kubby Awards! Named for the late Neil Kublan, beloved Mego Executive and dear friend of the Museum, these awards honor the best in Remego Toys for 2011. Listen to Scott and Brian’s Mego Museum Podcast for the exciting, cheesey Sound FX heavy Results Show, which includes lots of nerdy commentary as well as calls from listeners to the Mego Museum voice mail line (213-444-MEGO.

Best Accessories for 2011 * This year you voted Zica’s Buck Rogers line to have the best goodies followed by the Real Ghostbusters and Bif Bang Pow’s Doctor Who following in third. *

Best Villain for 2011 Speaking of Star Trek, the Salt Vampire was your choice for best baddie this year followed by the DCU’s top hunger dog Darkseid, in third place was the really neat Phantom Limb by Bif Bang Pow!. *

Best likeness was a tough call but EMCE/Diamond Select’s Boris Karloff as the Mummy won out, creeping in at a close second was ZICA’s Buck Rogers and rounding out is Bif Bang Pow’s Henry Bemis from Twilight Zone. [...]

Alot of fun! Great job guys. Sounds like there is more known about the Buck Rogers line that what has been discussed. Sounds promising! Let's hope those unproduced prototypes see the light of day!

Sound editing is a lot of work and I am a total amateur. But this one called for a little something extra.

Great job, guys! Loved the podcast. Thanks for doing these.

Amusingly, the web page had ever so slightly different results than what you said... and the bit with Brian's daughter coming in was adorable... It all just added to the charm.

Ugh, I did those graphics late at night, what did I mess up?

As for my daughter, "I'm taping" seems to mean "pop in every ten minutes or so". Of course, I always do what she asks so that might be why.

I had set that aside for an out-take and it just happened to be in the timeline at the end and I thought it was a great way to end the podcast. A little window into what 2 podcasting dads are up against sometimes.

Two batches of calls, one at the begining and the other at the end.
