no, no one is forcing you to buy it...if you don't like the price all you have to do is walk away..nothing wrong with someone flipping an item

not being rude, just saying if someone offers you something and you don't like the price you don't have to buy it...i don't see how what someone else paid for it matters??

But that's just me though, I'm sure others might think differently

i'm all for flippin' certain items i.e. Vintage stuff, but when it comes to certain things (such as tht ctvt robin hood figures i came across recently) i personnally can't go nuts on the resale price.

Probably why I'm not a rich man

            Wait, what was rude??

As for the question, sure, folks do it all the time, and there's nothing about it that is objectively wrong. If you chose to feel that it was wrong, then that's just your choice and has nothing to do with anything else. Nobody here is under any obligation to sell an item at any particular price. Plus, we aren't allowed to unionize. . . .so, no mandatory breaks and no health benefits. It's a wonder we stick around this joint!

You don't have to buy it.

Many people flip stuff...they made the effort on buying it at a deal...they are in no way obligated to sell it for the same price...if they can make a profit...more power to them.

It's about what are you willing to pay...as to how the seller obtained a particular figure, is rather irrelevant in this matter.

Furthermore, if you saw it on eBay, then why didn't you buy it?
I don't think it's cool to complain if someone gives you a chance to buy the same item you screwed up buying yourself. And anyhow, you have no idea about the other collector's overall dollar cost averaging, and you never will, so just try to follow the market values and get what you want within the range of normal pricing. And then move on.

Yeah. I don't really see the point here Osker. We all try to give each other deals, which is great. No one should be expected to just give an item away though.

By your reasoning, if someone bought an AHI Wolfman on Ebay for $2.00 because no one else caught it, they would be wrong to offer it for sale here at an enormous profit. I don't see it that way. I am just thrilled I at least have the opportunity to add it to my own collection.

Others have already stated this, but seriously, if you don't like a price someone is offering don't buy it. Just don't complain about it.

If you find a Mint on card Green Arrow for $1.00, I won't mind paying you $100.00. I would just be glad to own it myself.

Just my $.02. I have purchased quite a few items over the years knowing what the seller paid. I'm not talking about $40 or $50...I'm talking about $100's as in close to a $1,000 between what I paid and what I know the seller paid. This was someone I know personally. He found the item on Ebay and I didn't. I did pay fair market value for the item and honestly, once I received it...all thoughts about price went out the door. The item is diplayed prominently in my collection and literally pinch myself that I acquired an item that I really wanted regardless of knowing what the seller paid. Good luck.
