    Question about quantities

Just curious if anyone knows how to snow ball how many of a certain MEGO piece may be around. Is there a resource or way to estimate?

Example, how many Soldier Apes are on planet Earth at this time? Can you look at any source to see how many total were produced and sold, and then somehow calculate how many were destroyed, or thrown away?

Is there a way to say....750,000 produced, roughly 25,000 remain in package, 200,000 remain loose?

Just thinking out loud. My plan is to slowly acquire every single Soldier Ape on the planet, and am trying to calculate when I have the last one, and how many storage sheds I will need to house them!

Funny I was just thinking today about how many soldier apes
are around. Thought we could have a thread having members record how many they have...loose any condition and carded. Would be neat to see the response.

That's an interesting question. I wonder if there are any production run numbers?

i asked the the good dr mego once about production numbers ,i think he said he read somewhere about 500.000 batmans figures a year that were sold .well he can correct me ,if he sees this ,i would love to know roughly about how many figures of any mego figure there was ,the apes were a success for mego ,had to have been a couple million to be the best seller of 1974.

I have thought of something similar once before. The issue is trying to get the fellow collector's to buy into it to help make it happen. I have always wondered how many silver soldier apes (carded and non carded) are in existence.

I figure that Batman and Robin had to be one of the biggest production numbers there was. Those two figures are just about everywhere.
