New Soldier Ape Variation???

I recently bought this Soldier Ape on eBay. I bought it because it has the Ursus top but in blue. I never knew that the Ursus top was done in blue. It is not listed here on the MEGO Museum. There is the top shown here on the Museum in burgandy. That's my next one to look out for!!!

It is a variant, but the blue cuff is the common one.

The blue cuffed soldier ape is a known variant. it's actually more common than the black cuffed or maroon cuffed ape. All three were mostly sold on Palitoy cards in the UK, but I do have a sealed US carded blue cuffed ape. You can see the blue cuffed guy there in the back right

Wow all this time I had no idea that it was common. I've only come across the black suit. Thanks for the update. Any chance you have an extra soldier with the burgandy outfit?

That's true I can get excited over any Mego, but even more so when variation is mentioned.
